FEU’s Baracael leads stats race

FEU Tamaraw veteran Marnel Baracael leads the statistical race with 62.5 statistical points (SPs) in the first round of Fil-Oil Flying V preseason invitational cup.

In the two games that the Tamaraws have emerged victorious, Baracael has averaged 21 points per game (ppg.), 7.5 rebounds per game (rpg.) and 3 assists per game (apg). He has also averaged 2 steals per game (spg).

Trailing Baracael in the stats race is hulking San Beda Red Lion center Samuel Ekwe. Ekwe has 56.4 SPs. He is the leading rebounder for the tournament averaging 16.4 rebounds per game. His other averages include 14.2 ppg., and 1,8 spg.

Two NU Bulldog starter follow. Jay Jahnke trails Ekwe in third place with 54 SPs and Jonathan Fernandez 48.5 SPs places fourth. Jankhe has garnered 6 apg and 4.3 spg.

Fernandez on the other hand has averaged 21 points per game. Rounding up the top 5 is De La Salle starting guard Ty Tang with 48.3 SPs. Tang has been impressive in his performance with 17.3 ppg., 5.3 rpg., 4.3 apg and 1.6 spg.

Other performers in the top 10 statistical race include Pong Escobal (San Beda) – 47.2 SPs, Darryl Basa (UST) – 47 SPs, Narciso Llagas (UE) – 47 SPs., Jobe Nkomakolem (Ateneo) – 46.2 SPs., and Veejay Serios (UP) – 45.5 SPs.
